The second round of our Somatic Movement Educator program began in February 2025, but it’s not too late to join! Courses can be taken individually for personal & professional development, or as part of the full 500+ hours Body-Mind Centering® Somatic Movement Educator certification. The four starred courses below are also part of the Infant Developmental Movement Educator (IDME) Program.

New Zealand residents receive a 15% discount.

Courses may be taken in any order, except the last three days (Professional Issues & Competency) which are to be taken after all other courses. You may combine courses from other licensed BMC programs worldwide to complete the SME requirements.

Courses will be held at the Abbotsford Convent, Melbourne.
Daily schedule is 9am – 6:15pm.

Homework requirements for those seeking certification include several guidance and private sessions with a certified BMC practitioner or teacher. Fees for these sessions are paid directly to the practitioner.

How to Apply

To apply for either the entire SME program or individual courses, please download and complete an application form, and return by email to admin@seasomaticeducation.com.

We will review your application and reply as soon as possible. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until a course is full. Once your application is accepted, you will need to pay a deposit of $250 per course ($500 per module) to confirm and hold your place.

We request that the remaining balance be paid 2 months before the module begins. After this date course fees increase by 10%.
The balance must be paid in full before the first day of the course.

SEA Cancellation Policy

60 days before course begins: If you cancel 2 months or more before the start of a course, we will issue a refund or apply credit towards another course, less a $100 administrative fee.

Less than 60 days before course begins: If you cancel less than 2 months before, there is no refund or credit, unless we can fill your spot. If we are able to fill your spot, we will issue a refund or apply credit towards another course, less a $100 administrative fee.
